the short version

Resonate keeps your data on your device. no servers, no accounts, no analytics, no tracking. there is nothing for us to collect, and nothing to sell. this page explains exactly how that works.

what we collect

nothing. Resonate ships with no analytics SDK, no tracking pixels, no crash-reporting service, and no advertising identifier. the only counters it keeps — “track played,” “mix saved” — live in your phone’s local storage and never reach any server. you can clear them under settings → about.

iCloud sync (premium & opt-in)

if you turn on iCloud sync, your favorites and saved mixes are mirrored to your own private iCloud key-value store. apple encrypts that data with your Apple ID — we never see it and have no way to. turning the toggle off stops new writes immediately. sync is off by default.

what Apple processes for you

in-app purchases run through Apple’s StoreKit. local notifications (sleep timer, wind-down) are scheduled by Apple’s notification center and stay on your device. spatial audio is rendered by Apple — using a generic profile, or your own Personalised Spatial Audio if you’ve set one up. magic mix runs entirely on your device. none of these touch a server we operate.

permissions

notifications — to remind you when your sleep timer ends and for your nightly wind-down. that’s the only one we ask for.

data retention

everything Resonate stores about you lives on your device; uninstalling the app removes it. iCloud-synced data is deleted from settings → Apple ID → iCloud → manage account storage → Resonate.

children

Resonate is not directed at children under 13, and we collect nothing from anyone, of any age.

changes to this policy

any change ships in an app update, with the difference noted in the release notes. we won’t email you about it.
